Governors House is an all day independent restaurant, located at The Treadmills, across from the new Everyman cinema in Northallerton.
Serving the best breakfast until 4pm, alongside juicy burgers, fresh salads, and tasty vegan and vegetarian dishes, all complemented by handpicked wines, beers and cocktails.
The décor makes it an ideal place for breakfast, brunch & lunch.
The menu comes to life with fresh ingredients cooked with passion. you can enjoy anything from a juicy burger, tasty vegan tofu tacos to a healthy Japanese rice bowl, together with hand roasted coffee, cocktails, smoothies, beer & wine.
Our menu caters for every occasion and dietary requirement. If you are vegan, vegetarian or avoiding gluten, we have it covered.
Kids are not left out at Governors house with a separate menu, offering the classics to great healthy options. Our little deal includes a kids main & drink for £8.50, Monday - Friday.

about us
Governors house has been an aspiration for Jordan, the owner, for many years. He has worked in the industry as a chef for 17 years and has always dreamed of opening his own restaurant which happened in Harrogate in 2019 opening Farmhouse with a mission to create great food and hospitality.
Now his eyes firmly on opening Governors House we hope to bring some of that magic to Northallerton and the surrounding area.
